NRTHNDE was born from a simple truth: our community deserves safe, intentional, and expressive spaces — and there weren’t enough of them. For years, we watched people like us search for places where they could show up fully, loudly, and authentically, without judgment or danger. We saw LGBTQ+ folks, people of color, alternative‑aesthetic communities, and anyone who didn’t fit the “standard nightlife mold” get pushed to the margins.We saw curators try to create spaces like the ones we dreamed of, but too often their focus drifted toward profit instead of people. The energy felt transactional. The community felt secondary. The vibe was off. It became clear that if we wanted a space built with intention, care, and real love — we’d have to build it ourselves.NRTHNDE is our answer to that need.Created by Suki and Joni, NRTHNDE is a space where the priority is — and always will be — the community. The money is an add‑on, not the mission. We’re here to give people a place to breathe, to dance, to connect, to express themselves without shrinking or apologizing. A place where identity isn’t just tolerated — it’s celebrated.
